CVE-2026-22740Spring Framework DoS with Multipart Temp Files in WebFlux
Medium 6.5
In plain English
A medium-severity uncontrolled resource consumption in Spring Framework from VMware. There are no confirmed reports of exploitation so far. The chance it is exploited in the next 30 days is estimated at 0.3% (higher than 28% of all known vulnerabilities). Fixed versions are available - upgrade the affected package.
Official description
A WebFlux server application that processes multipart requests creates temp files for parts larger than 10 K. Under some circumstances, temp files may remain not deleted after the request is fully processed. This allows an attacker to consume available disk space. Older, unsupported versions are also affected.
